What the extension reviews

Before You Agree reviews the Terms, Privacy, Cookie, license, or text-based PDF that you choose to scan. It accesses the active document only after you click the extension toolbar action or invoke its shortcut.

What stays on your device

The page text, matched clauses, and optional AI explanation are processed on your device. They are not sent to the developer or any third party, retained by the developer, sold, or used for advertising, analytics, or profiling. The chosen page text is held temporarily in Chrome's session-only extension storage so the side panel can review it, and is not synced.

PDF documents

If the chosen document is a PDF, the extension downloads that PDF again from its original URL without cookies so bundled PDF.js can extract selectable text on your device. The source website may receive ordinary connection metadata, such as your IP address and user agent. Extracted text and scan results are not sent back to the source website.

Optional local AI download

If you choose Use local AI, the extension downloads a pinned language-model package from Hugging Face. This request does not include the page text or scan results. Like any download host, Hugging Face may receive ordinary connection metadata such as your IP address and user agent under its own privacy policy. Chrome stores the downloaded model data locally so later explanations can reuse it.

No tracking infrastructure

The extension has no account system, telemetry, advertising, or developer server. Uninstalling the extension removes its extension-managed local data according to Chrome's normal behavior.

Limited use

The extension uses information only to provide its disclosed policy-review function. Its use of information complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
